Unearthing more from the past…

Well, I thought I would share another bit of my photo past. When I first started shooting I was very interested in nude/erotic photography (I know… why on earth would you ever want to do that?) and I decided to shoot a series that I would still eventually like to make into a book for the masses. I primarily use my own bed for the series. I was a frequent shopper at Target, buying new sheets before each shoot. Now I have a lot of sheets, which just goes to show you my true... Read More

Atlantic City Hotel Room Sexy Time

I went to Atlantic City last week with my good friends Matt and Emily of twentyonefifteen photography. We gambled, lost and then much later in the evening went up to the hotel room and I decided to set up a light and play around a bit. I wanted to do something that was somewhat dramatic and I only wanted to use one light. I threw a 580EX into a Wescott Softbox and here are the results. It’s a little different than what you may be used to seeing from me, but I like the results... Read More

Such a purty wittle kitty…

KAT! This is Kat Livingston. I “heart” Kat. She was a lot of fun to work with. Definitely a kindred spirit. Veronica Reid did the makeup here. I wanted to give props to both of them. We were all supposed to be in a CNN story on 3rd Ward, the studio I shoot at, but lo and behold I ain’t heard shit yet. So… back to the shoot. It was out first time working together and I wanted to shoot some portraits because I always like to start with a portrait session... Read More

A girl and her dog

Another photo shot in 2006, this one is of fashionista Alyssa Key of Love Brigade. Alyssa is gorgeous, sexy and cool as shit to boot. Before the shoot started, she asked if it was okay that she bring her small dog with her. I love dogs so it wasn’t a problem at all. Johnny was running around us in circles the entire shoot. He is adorable. I have never been a fan of little dogs, but he is definitely an exception. Here is a photo of Alyssa and Johnny. I think it shows her... Read More

The image that started it all…

I sound like such a pretentious prick when I say it like that, but I came across the first image I took that made me realize that I might have something here with my camera skills. This image was shot on January 6, 2006, so I am coming to my three year anniversary soon. It feels like I have been shooting for a LOT longer than that. The girl in the photo is my wife and that’s our bed. In our old apartment there were recessed halogen lights in the ceiling and there was one... Read More

Here I go again…

I will spare you my rendition of the Whitesnake/Tawny Kitaen classic. I realize that I haven’t been updating this blog over the past week with photos or anything like that. As some of you know, I lost my job last week and things are in a state of transition. So, while I wish I was shooting every day, the reality is that I haven’t been able to. I am going to keep posting images from shoots, however, in an effort to keep myself inspired to do more. Note to self: “Blackird”... Read More
