Girls, Corsets and Horses

On Thursday I had the opportunity to shoot at some horse stables in Boulder City, NV. The shoot was setup by Lisa Lorenz. Lisa is a Corset designer based in the Las Vegas area. She is awesome… I like her.

I really had no idea what to expect, since I have never really been to a commercial horse stable before… all of the tenants lease space there to keep their horses. I didn’t grow up around horses and had no concept of what it would look like or even if it would be all that great of a location to photograph.

As soon as I pulled up I realized that this was going to be a fun place to shoot. The particular stable we set up shop at is a stable run by Maury. An adorable old cowboy from South Dakota, who may be my favorite person over the age of 70 now. Maury was extremely hospitable (something I am still getting used to out here) and basically gave me run of the place.

I met Lisa and the two models: Loulou and Lia. Loulou is a pin-up model from Zurich and Lia is a new model who is just starting out.

We started out with some simple shots in the shed area in front of a haystack. Your everyday, typical “Farmer’s daughter” scenario… Loulou brought a cute two piece outfit so we shot for a bit and then Lia came out in some chaps and western wear. We even got some shots of the two of them and Maury got in for a couple as well.

Our next location was a horse riding ring that overlooked the valley that leads down to Searchlight, NV. This was the shoot I had signed up for, because this was going to showcase Lisa’s beautiful tops and underbust corsets. Without further adieu, here is a lengthy gallery from the day, including some behind the scenes shots that Lisa sent over.
